Our approach

ANZANIA_MARK-08.png

We aim to create a lasting positive impact on both our audiences and the broader community, inspiring a future where people and nature coexist harmoniously.

Our programs celebrate the notion that everyone has a role to play in creating a better future, irrespective of age or background.

Anzania EarthWorks immerses participants in the transformative story of environmental restoration. Instead of just showcasing the damage humans have caused, our programs highlight the potential for positive change, allowing visitors to envision a harmonious world where humanity and nature thrive together.

Through engaging experiences, participants not only witness restoration but actively contribute to it, fostering a deep connection with the natural world. This collective imagination empowers individuals to become stewards of a sustainable future, transforming places like the Anzania quarry from symbols of destruction into beacons of hope and possibility.

The approach to EarthWork’s programs is rooted in the belief that collaboration, creativity, and youth empowerment are essential catalysts for driving positive change towards a sustainable future.

Our activities

Anzania FieldLabs

EarthWorks recognizes the critical role of youth as drivers of change. During field labs, children are invited into the quarry to explore, discover and learn about nature and the environmental challenges we face, while inspiring them as to how to restore and protect nature. Using a participatory, art-based approach.

Anzania Sessions

During EarthWorks Sessions, we bring together local partners, artists, impact driven organizations, youth groups, and NGOs to facilitate knowledge exchange and ideation on certain environmental themes. These sessions highlight the role of arts in inspiring change and developing new perspectives.

Anzania  Art for Change

Through local artist residencies at our quarry, EarthWorks provides artist with studios and exhibition spaces, as well as networking opportunities.  By focussing the residencies on environmental themes, we aim to facilitate dialogue between artists and the audience, and stimulate a collective commitment to environmental awareness.

Our programs are designed to be immersive, innovative, accessible, and participatory.
